New Educational Opportunity Program Website Goes Live

In step with a larger departmental rebranding effort, a new website for the Educational Opportunity Program launches today.

While Student Information Systems & Technology has long-supported EOP’s presence online, today’s launch brings exciting new developments, including access to Sitefinity’s easy-to-use content management system, compatibility with mobile devices, and cross-browser support.

Under the leadership of EOP Director Rocio Fajardo, four EOP staff are now trained on how to edit multimedia content on the new CMS. After a critical content review, Fajardo and Counselor/Coordinator Marcus Mathis identified and reduced redundancy found across site navigation and added a Google map to their office, as well as new photos shot by SIS&T’s CommCollab team.

EOP became present online in 2000, as a department page under a larger resources website. In 2004, EOP got its own site, with a major technological upgrade made to it in 2010. Today’s launch brings the site current with WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
