A new, mobile-friendly website for the UCSB Economic Forecast Project launches today, after just two and a half months of cross-team collaboration, with Student Information Systems & Technology units at the helm of design and development.

The EFP, a research program administered by the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, was established in 1981 to provide information on economic, demographic, and regional business trends in the tri-county area.

In early January, SIS&T’s Student Services Information Systems, CommCollab, and Systems teams began working with the EFP team, under the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Peter Rupert, to migrate the former EFP website onto SIS&T’s servers for hosting, and to take the site off WordPress and, instead, build it on top of SIS&T’s content management system, Sitefinity.

The new site now meets WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and is current with cross-browser support and device compatibility, and it features photography and front-end development from SIS&T’s CommCollab team.
